Archos 5 Internet Media Tablet

Portable Media Players (PMPs) have been very popular over the past few years, and building on the success of their 605 WiFi model the manufacturer Archos have now released a new and improved PMP, the Archos 5. This new model has a larger screen which replays at 720p hi-def and is one of the best on the market offering excellent visual quality.
The Archos 5 also supports flash technology unlike many other PMPs currently available, meaning that you can watch digital TV, although this does reduce the battery life from 12 hours (audio playback) to just 4 hours and 30 mins.
This model is slightly more bulky than its rivals such as the iPhone from Apple, but it has a solid and robust feel, and the design is simple but very stylish. The Archos 5 retails at around £269 for the basic 60GB version, although you can get an impressive 250GB for around £349.
