Nanotechnology is a revolutionary technology which is being tried to be implemented in all the fields. Nanodiamonds are used by the northwestern university researchers in delivering to the cells in the human body, the chemotherapy drugs without any negative effects as like the present drugs. The nanodiamonds have the same structure like the carbon with fourteen carrots of sparklings.

The drug model can be used for many other applications like viral infections, tuberculosis etc. in addition to the cancer drug delivering. The drug is said to play a significant role controlling the exposing of poisonous drugs to the body and improve the treatment of cancer.

The working method of this technology in treating the cancer is that it will not kill the cells but the cluster of nanodiamonds shield the infected cells from the normal cells carrying the chemotherapy drug and release it slowly when it has reached the cellular target. Cell inflammation is never caused by the nanodiamonds. But the presently used drug delivering materials can cause inflammation that can put a patient to cancer and might even result in the growth of the tumors. Though there are many drug delivery materials the right one is to be chosen and the research for this purpose is on. Nanodiamonds are so effective

on cells is due to their very ordered structures which the cells like, if not liked by the cells then would go inflamed. Nanodiamond is effective as the cluster enables a powerful release of the drug in a localized place and it is said to carry drug five times more than the nonconventional materials. Currently used materials for the drug delivery are polymersomes and the liposomes which are spherical nanoparticles.

Nanodiamonds are made clinically important as they are soluble in water unlike the variant emerging nanoparticles. Nanodiamonds have more stability and let you free to create chemistry for the purpose of targeting. They are very much into use as they provide functionality with safety which is very rare to find in a nanomaterial that offers both. It is the time not to be scary of so called deadly disease cancer as the nanotechnology is in hand and will be in reach to all very shortly.
